Coloring Book Party Favors Starring the Birthday Kid
Every guest takes home the same custom coloring book — and your child is on every page. It's the craft table activity during the party and the favor bag after it, in one.
Build the book from your own photos in an evening. We print the copies.
Free to preview your pages. Printed ordering is in preview — no payment is collected.
The Favor Bag, Fixed
Be honest about the last favor bag your child brought home: a plastic whistle, a sticky hand, a fistful of candy, maybe a bubble wand with a day's life expectancy. You've assembled those bags yourself, item by item, wondering who actually wants any of it. The answer is nobody — parents quietly bin them, and the money is gone either way.
A coloring book starring the birthday kid is a different kind of object. It's personal, so it can't be bought off a shelf. It's useful, because every guest leaves with an activity rather than sugar. And it's a genuine keepsake of the friendship — six months later, a page colored at the party is still a picture of their friend on someone's fridge.
It also solves the party itself. Put a copy and a cup of crayons at each seat and the craft table runs itself: every kid colors the same adventure while the pizza arrives. The favor is the activity, which is one less thing to plan.
One Design, Printed for the Whole Guest List
The design work happens once. The print run covers everyone.
Pick the Star Photos
Choose 12 or more photos of the birthday kid — riding their bike, hugging the dog, last year's cake moment. Our AI redraws each one as clean coloring-book line art, in a style matched to the guests' ages.
Build the Book Once
Arrange pages in the book builder, add a cover with your child's name and the party year, and preview the whole book before anything is printed.
Print a Copy per Guest
Choose a Party Pack of 12 or 24 identical copies. Because it's one design on one print run, each copy costs less than printing books one at a time.
Party Pack Sizes
Per-copy pricing drops as the pack grows — that's print-run economics working in your favor.
Sample pricing — final prices, sizes, and turnaround are pending print specs from our fulfillment partner. You will not be charged for orders placed during the preview period.

Matching the Book to the Party's Age Range
Toddler parties (2–4): choose the Bold & Simple style — thick outlines and big open shapes that forgive a fist-grip crayon. Keep the book short and the subjects obvious: the birthday kid, the cake, the dog.
Preschool and early elementary (3–7): the Cartoon style is the reliable crowd-pleaser. Guests recognize their friend drawn like a character from a favorite show, and the rounded shapes color quickly enough to finish a page before the candles.
Older kids (8–10): Classic or Detailed line art keeps the activity from feeling babyish. Pages with more interior detail hold this age group at the table longer, and the book reads more like a real keepsake than a kids' favor.
Mixed-age guest list? Lead with Cartoon or Classic pages and tuck one or two Detailed pages at the back for older siblings. You choose the style per photo when you convert each one, so a single book can serve the whole range.
A Simple Planning Timeline
- 3–4 weeks out
Gather photos. Aim for 12–20 clear shots of the birthday kid — good lighting, faces filling the frame. Convert a couple as a free test to settle on a style.
- 2–3 weeks out
Build the book. Convert the full set, arrange pages in the book builder, and set the cover. One evening usually does it. Order your pack with the guest list confirmed — and pad it by two or three copies.
- Party week
Set up the table. A copy and a small cup of crayons at each seat. Crayons cost little in bulk and turn the favor into the activity.
- After the party
The books go home colored-in or fresh — both work. Keep the spare copies for thank-you notes, cousins, or the memory box.
Printed ordering is in preview, so confirm current turnaround on the order page before planning a tight deadline. Curious how the printing itself works? See our coloring book printing guide.
Party Favor Questions, Answered
How many copies should I order for a birthday party?+
Count your guest list, add the birthday kid's own copy, and add two or three spares for siblings and last-minute RSVPs. The Party Pack (12 copies) fits most smaller parties; Party Pack XL (24 copies) covers bigger guest lists and whole-class invitations.
Every guest gets the same book — is that okay?+
Yes, and it's the point. The book stars the birthday kid, the way a party itself does. Guests color the same pages side by side at the party, then take their copy home. If you want one special edition, you can also order a single keepsake copy of a different design for the birthday kid.
What ages do coloring book favors work for?+
Roughly ages 2 to 10, with the line-art style doing the adjusting. Bold & Simple suits toddler parties, Cartoon is the crowd-pleaser for ages 3 to 7, and Classic or Detailed styles suit older kids. You pick the style when you convert each photo.
How far ahead of the party should I start?+
Building the book takes an evening — converting photos is quick and previews are free. For printed copies, allow comfortable lead time ahead of the party date. Printed ordering is currently in preview while we finalize turnaround details with our print partner, so check the order page for current expectations before you plan a tight deadline.
Is the pricing final?+
Not yet. The per-copy prices shown are sample pricing while we finalize specs with our fulfillment partner, and no payment is collected on preview orders. Final prices, sizes, and turnaround will be confirmed before paid ordering opens.
Can I try it before committing to a pack?+
Yes. Upload a photo and preview the line art free, with no account needed. You can also download converted pages and print a test sheet at home before you build the full book.
